The Safety Coordinator plays a key role in supporting compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations and promoting a culture of workplace safety. This position is responsible for helping develop and improve safety procedures to minimize risk to employees and company assets while collaborating with team members to ensure safe work practices and a safe working environment.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct field evaluations and safety compliance audits to ensure safety is integrated into daily operations
Complete audits and inspections to verify all worksites are compliant with company HSE policies and OSHA regulations
Monitor and evaluate daily operations and planning procedures to identify risks and improve safety practices
Document safety violations and noncompliance issues for management review and follow-up
Keep inventory of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) on hand when visiting the field
Analyze accident data, new processes, and equipment for potential safety concerns
Partner with management to conduct accident and incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
Respond to incidents during both working and non-working hours and participate in alternative weekend callouts as needed
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support incident response
Conduct new hire safety orientation for all new hires
Provide safety training for existing employees requiring certification renewals or additional safety instruction
Promote safe work practices and support safety awareness across the organization
Prepare and present materials for safety meetings and trainings
Work closely with district-level management to support daily operations and safety initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
OSHA 10 & 30
Willing to travel up to 80% of the time
Minimum of 3 years of safety-related experience preferably in the oil and gas environment
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Valid driver's license with clean MVR
