Safety and Security Workforce Manager for UEFA EURO 2028, responsible for ensuring the event has a well-prepared, qualified, and suitably distributed workforce to meet safety and security requirements. Based at Wembley Stadium, London with travel across UK & Ireland.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement a comprehensive workforce strategy for safety and security for all Euro 2028 venues
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including government agencies, law enforcement, private security firms, local authorities, and other functional areas and SSNS workstreams
Identify and quantify the full safety and security staffing needs for Euro 2028 across all venue types and operations
Define model to determine the risk profile and needs assessment of the tournament
Identify data needs to ensure comprehensive evaluation can be undertaken
Develop and assess appropriate procurement models for securing the necessary safety and security personnel
Ensure that procurement models adhere to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, and provide cost-effective solutions that align with event budgets
Identify key Safety and Security risk areas and develop joint mitigation plans
Develop operational contingency plans for staffing shortages, emergencies, and other unforeseen circumstances
Design and implement a comprehensive training strategy to ensure all safety and security staff are fully prepared for Euro 2028 operations
Define a strong Workforce experience and onboarding model that looks to retain staff through a positive experience
Lead on the contract management during live operations including evaluation of performance, incident management and deployment coordination
Requirements:
Significant experience in managing large-scale safety and security operations, preferably for major sporting events or similar high-profile public events
Proven track record in workforce planning, resource management, and stakeholder engagement within the security industry
Strong understanding of public safety, law enforcement, emergency management, and crowd control measures
Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the 'big picture' while being detail-oriented in workforce planning and management
Problem-Solving: Capable of developing innovative solutions for complex safety and security challenges
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-pressure environment where flexibility and responsiveness are key
