As Safety & Security Co-worker, you'll be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for visitors, contractors, co-workers, store compliance, and brand security. You'll also promote risk and compliance culture and support emergency and health and safety standards within IKEA's operational locations.
Job Responsibility:
Being the friendly first point of contact for visitors, contractors, and co-workers, while managing access to and from the store or external warehouse
Providing administrative support for risk prevention and compliance activities, including audits, incident reporting, database management, and record-keeping
Monitoring CCTV systems, conducting investigations, responding promptly to alarms, and initiating emergency procedures when required
Supporting store compliance with IKEA policies, local regulations, and relevant legislation to protect our people, assets, and brand
Assisting with the response and management of emergency situations, health and safety incidents, and critical events
Promoting a strong risk and compliance culture by identifying and implementing systems to reduce business loss, prevent incidents, and minimise financial impact
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure health, safety, and security standards are consistently met across all departments
Providing timely and relevant feedback on reported incidents and acting as the key contact for internal and external case reporting
Working on a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends, alongside your Facilities Management (FM) colleagues to ensure coverage for the IKEA store and external warehouse
Requirements:
A current Certificate of Approval (COA), First Aid & CPR certifications, or the willingness and ability to obtain them
A strong customer focus, keeping our customers front of mind in your daily tasks
A passion for maintaining a safe and secure environment, with a commitment to leading by example
Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to stay calm and deliver clear instructions during emergency situations
The ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and stay organised
Confidence using computers and IT systems, with solid administration skills and a strong focus on incident reporting and compliance
A proactive, solution-focused mindset, contributing to a positive safety culture
A collaborative approach, enjoying teamwork and supporting your colleagues when it matters most
