Job Responsibility:
Performing required project RAMS tasks at spacecraft system level, subsystem level or equipment level (unmanned and manned spacecraft)
Performing safety assessments at different product maturity stages (safety phases I, II and III)
Performing safety assessments for operations, remove & repair activities
Establishing reliability, availability and maintainability analyses
Participate in the preparation of FMECA, HSIA, fault tree analyses. Interfacing with equipment suppliers: Definition of RAMS requirements in contribution to specifications at equipment level Following the relevant design development to check the compliance to the defined requirements
Participate in the preparation of hazard analyses for spacecraft, equipment/instruments as well as for ground support equipment
Co-engineering with FDIR architects (failure detection, isolation and recovery)
Preparation of required documentation and presentation of work results
Requirements:
Knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility
Knowledge and experience in un-manned Space Systems, in particular payload system
Knowledge and experience in the field of Safety and Reliability Engineering ideally in Aeronautical or Space sector
Knowledge and experience of hazard analysis and fault tree analysis
Knowledge of Safety processes, regulations and guidelines (ECSS-Q-ST-40C, ARP 4761, ARP 4754A) are welcome
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and strong sense of responsibility
High level of commitment, flexibility and a strong service mentality
Very good written and spoken English and German
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
