This individual contributor role supports the Safety team by providing on-site assessments, analyzing root causes of injuries or safety concerns, evaluating safety practices, and partnering with center leaders on corrective actions. The Safety Analyst plays a key role in identifying risk trends, validating safety behaviors and controls, and helping prevent future injuries.

  • Evaluate work practices, physical environments, client-specific risk and behavior-based safety practices.
  • Provide real-time guidance and recommendations to center leaders during visits.
  • Review incident trends, injury reports, WC claims details, and operational factors to identify underlying causes.
  • Use structured problem-solving methods (e.g. 5-Whys, fishbone diagrams, task analysis) to determine root causes.
  • Partner with center leadership to develop practical corrective actions and verify implementation
  • Produce clear, concise reports summarizing site visit findings, risk levels, and required corrective actions.
  • Track follow-up actions and ensure closure of identified issues.
  • Provide data-informed insights to the Safety team to help prioritize future site visits and programs.
  • Support delivery of targeted safety training during and after site visits (e.g. body positioning, lifting, risk recognition).
  • Collaborate with the broader Safety team on high-priority initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in safety, risk management, claims management or field operations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently to sites (50 - 75% depending on needs and geography).
  • Strong observational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and influence without authority in field settings.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace/Microsoft Office and general reporting tools.

Nice to have:

  • Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Healthcare, Psychology/Behavioral Science or related field.
  • Experience working in clinical, healthcare or ABA services environments.
  • Experience in incident analysis, ergonomics, or workers’ compensation.
  • Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, CHSP, or equivalent
