They are known for their commitment to safety and operational excellence and are looking for a dedicated HSEQ professional to join their team in South Australia. As an Safety Advisor / Coordinator, you will ensure that health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are integrated into daily operations. You will act as a key point of contact for site teams, providing guidance and ensuring a safe working environment.
Job Responsibility:
Safety Culture: Drive 'Zero Harm' initiatives through active site presence and stakeholder engagement
Compliance: Monitor site activities to ensure alignment with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
Incident Management: Lead investigations (ICAM) and implement preventative actions
Training: Facilitate site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions
Risk & Audit: Conduct hazard assessments, site inspections, and regular safety audits
Injury Management: Coordinate Return to Work (RTW) plans and support injured employees
Requirements:
Experience: Proven HSEQ experience within Construction, Infrastructure, or Industrial environments
Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in WHS (Degree or Diploma) is essential
Systems: Familiarity with integrated management systems (ISO standards)
Certifications: ICAM investigation and Return to Work Coordinator certificates are highly regarded
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence safety outcomes
Eligibility: Must be an Australian Citizen and able to pass a medical/police check
