This position works primarily in an office setting and involves a variety of administrative duties for transportation operations. You’ll work with our motor coach safety team, handling tasks like fuel reporting, setting up driver tablets, working in Samsara, and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be extremely detail-oriented, with a strong background in transportation operations and data management with knowledge of ELDs and hours of service.
Job Responsibility:
Fuel Reporting: Track and manage fuel consumption data, ensuring accurate reporting by strong deadlines
Samsara Operations: Work with the Samsara platform to monitor fleet performance, track vehicles, and support operational efficiency
Driver Tablet Setup: Set up and configure tablets for drivers, ensuring proper functionality and seamless integration into daily operations
Video System Support: Maintain and support existing vehicle camera systems
Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and provide prompt, professional assistance
Data Entry and Record Management: Perform daily office tasks including data entry, filing, and record-keeping. Maintain spreadsheets and reports, with a strong focus on accuracy
Driver Requirements: Meet the qualifications of a School Bus Driver, including obtaining a Class B CDL with the appropriate endorsements (without airbrake restriction), and driving a bus when needed. In-house training is provided for those without a CDL
General Office Duties: Answer phones, relay messages to drivers, and assist with additional administrative duties as assigned by the manager
Requirements:
A minimum of two years’ experience in an office setting, or education from a Technical College, with proficiency in office equipment
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to speak clearly and professionally, with a focus on listening to customer needs and directing them to the appropriate department when necessary
Detail-Oriented: Must have exceptional attention to detail, particularly in data management, fuel reporting, and trip documentation
Technology Proficiency: Comfortable working with office equipment and working knowledge of Samsara or similar software is preferred. Ability to set up and troubleshoot driver tablets
Excel Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Excel for data entry, reporting, and tracking performance
Driver Requirements: Willingness to meet the qualifications of a School Bus Driver, including obtaining a Class B CDL with the appropriate endorsements (without airbrake restriction), and driving a bus when needed. Must have a good driving abstract and pass a background check. In-house training is provided for those without a CDL
Excellent Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
