Job Description:

Help shape a safeguarding culture where people’s rights, voices and lives truly matter. For 50 years, Dimensions has supported adults with learning disabilities and autistic people to live with greater choice, control and independence. We are now seeking a Safeguarding Panel Chair who not only brings deep safeguarding expertise, but who strongly aligns to our values and shares our commitment to dignity, human rights and person-centred support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide independent leadership and constructive challenge, ensuring robust oversight, strong assurance and continuous learning across the organisation
  • Offer assurance to the Group Board that safeguarding responsibilities are fully embedded in everyday practice and that concerns are addressed openly, proportionately and with the individual at the centre
  • Occasional visits to engage with people we support and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Significant safeguarding experience at senior operational or strategic level, ideally within social care, health or a related sector
  • Lives our values of Ambition, Courage, Integrity, Partnership and Respect
  • Is passionate about protecting rights, promoting dignity and improving outcomes for people in vulnerable situations
  • Provides challenge with empathy, curiosity and integrity
