Job Description:

The S&OP Planner is responsible for optimizing sales and operations planning, driving accurate demand forecasts, and ensuring efficient inventory management. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally and strengthen key relationships to support business objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the Sales and Operations planning (S&OP) cycle for the responsible cluster/region/Markets
  • Forecasting Review and improve In Market Sales forecast quality for multiple distributors in the region. Work Back Sell out to Sell in Forecasts using Stock Equation
  • Maintain and Improve demand planning/S&OP, processes to improve forecast accuracy
  • Maintain a strong distributor/customer relationship through conducting weekly/Monthly connects
  • Work cross functionally with commercial finance, Trade marketing, Marketing and Sales to build forecasts towards aligned objectives
  • Collaborate with Supply Planning at the factory level to identify Key Supply risks and develop suitable solutions and mitigation plans
  • KPI Monitoring: Monitor relevant KPIs, comparing actual shipment vs. country inputs. Prepare and distribute regular reports on key performance indicators, demand forecasts, and inventory levels
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven minimum of 5+ years of experience in demand planning in multi-national companies, preferably from the FMCG industry
  • Expertise in statistical forecasting methods and advanced analytics
  • Expertise in Distributor inventory Management
  • Extensive experience with demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO) and data analysis tools (e.g., PowerBi, Excel, Macros, Tableau)
  • Exceptional communication skills, and strong customer focus approach

Nice to have:

Proficient in SAP and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), good communication skills in Arabic and English
