The S&M Data Governance Lead is a global role responsible for designing, implementing, and governing the S&M Data Governance Framework across all business domains worldwide. The role ensures that S&M Mowi’s data is trusted, high quality, secure, compliant, and strategically used to support business decision making, digital transformation, and long term value creation. This position coordinates the S&M global Data Governance Team, ensuring alignment between business needs, digital strategy, and the S&M Data Office.
Job Responsibility:
Establish and maintain the S&M global Data Governance framework, including roles, responsibilities, standards, and quality controls
Define the governance operating model, ensuring collaboration between S&M domains, data owners, data stewards, business units, IT, and the S&M Data Office
Lead the governance maturity roadmap to continuously improve processes, controls, and adoption
Oversee creation, maintenance, and enforcement of S&M data policies (privacy, lifecycle, security, quality, classification, retention). Ensure alignment with global regulatory frameworks (GDPR, industry regulations)
Coordinate policy training, adoption, and communication across the organization
Supervise the definition of S&M data quality KPIs, SLAs, and rules, ensuring consistency across business areas. Drive root cause analysis and remediation plans for critical data issues
Promote “quality at the source” in partnership with S&M ERP teams, Process Owners, and business units
Oversee the design, maintenance, and use of the S&M Enterprise Data Catalog, glossary, metadata standards, and lineage
Define and drive a data literacy program to increase awareness of data roles, responsibilities, and best practices
Act as the bridge between Data Office, Digital Solutions, Business Owners, Process Owners, IT, and the Analytics & AI Solutions team
Ensure governance requirements are embedded in business transformation programs, analytics initiatives, and system changes
Provide regular reports to S&M Data Office Lead, project sponsors, and senior leadership
