Job Description:

Assists with technical support tasks and ensures optimal operation of pharmacy equipment; coordinates pharmacy deliveries; analyzes RX trends and anticipates consumer demand.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assists with routine technical support tasks for the RX Equipment area
  • communicates deviations from expected outcomes to internal teams
  • collects feedback from the warehouse department to ensure technical support function is responsive to business needs
  • documents the receipt of control drugs and cooler drugs and verifies number of cartons and pallets in each delivery
  • assists pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with equipment operations, coordinates pharmacy deliveries and orders to ensure timely service
  • inspects final RX product for appropriateness and uniformity
  • verifies product labels for accuracy to ensure ready for delivery
  • maintains specialized pharmacy equipment, such as automated dispensing devices and unit dosing machines
  • collects information on RX trends and analyzes RX order frequency in order to anticipate consumer demand
  • monitors pharmacy equipment and fills dispensing units
  • calibrates to ensure maximum functionality
  • operates automated RX equipment to assist pharmacists with compounding, repackaging, and cart filling

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 0-1 year prior relevant work experience
