Job Responsibility:

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
Delegate tasks and set deadlines for team members, monitor team performance, and report on metrics

Requirements:

At least 3 years of experience with Ruby
Understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances
Understanding of functional programming style in Ruby
Skills for writing reusable Ruby libraries that may be used in expressive ways
Plenty of experience with server-side rendered web apps
Git
PostgreSQL (or another relational DB i.e. MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server)
Web frontend experience (HTMl, CSS, JS, accessibility, responsive UIs)
AWS – mainly S3 and general understanding of cloud infrastructure

Nice to have:

knowledge of client-side rendered apps is useful but not essential
experience with Lambda & Cloudfront would be nice to have
