Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Ruby Developer to join our team in Garland, Texas. In this long-term contract role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving Ruby on Rails development, front-end frameworks, and API integrations. This position requires a collaborative approach to software development and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and maintain applications using Ruby on Rails, ensuring scalability and performance
Upgrade existing systems from Rails 5 to newer versions, including Rails 7.2 or 8
Design and implement RESTful APIs, both for internal use and integration with third-party services
Collaborate on front-end development using frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Vue
Transition rendering processes from server-side to client-side for improved performance
Conduct thorough testing using RSpec, adhering to modular and collaborative QA principles
Manage deployments through CI/CD pipelines, contributing to efficient build-and-release workflows
Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for system migration and setup
Monitor and optimize applications using cloud tools such as New Relic and AWS CloudWatch
Develop real-time features with WebSocket protocols, with a preference for Solid Cable

Requirements:

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development
Strong proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs
Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Vue
Experience with RSpec for testing and quality assurance
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modular deployment strategies
Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
Proficiency in cloud monitoring tools such as New Relic and AWS CloudWatch
Experience with containerized workflows using Docker
