Job Description

Design, develop, maintain, and enhance applications using RPG III on IBM AS400. Analyze business and technical requirements to deliver effective software solutions. Develop, test, and deploy new features and system enhancements. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with Business Analysts, System Analysts, QA teams, and end users throughout the project lifecycle. Perform unit testing and support SIT and UAT activities. Participate in code reviews and ensure coding best practices are followed. Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation. Utilize JIRA to manage tasks, defects, and project progress. Provide production support and contribute to continuous system improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in RPG III programming on IBM AS400
  • Strong knowledge of IBM AS400 development and maintenance
  • Experience using JIRA or similar project management tools
  • Experience within the Life Assurance / Insurance industry is a strong advantage
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good communication skills with English proficiency (6–7/10 or above)
