Job Description:

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity reporting to the Royalty New Deals Manager. The New Deals Specialist plays a key role in ensuring new royalty deals are set up accurately and efficiently, enabling clear, timely and compliant reporting to participants. Working across contracts, systems and reporting, the role supports the successful commercial exploitation of ITV’s content portfolio.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review new deal contracts and determine the most appropriate reporting approach (automated or bespoke)
  • Set up new royalty reporting templates and participant distribution statements
  • Interpret legal and financial information from contracts and ITV rights and finance systems
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve queries and provide technical guidance
  • Build effective working relationships across Finance, Legal and other business areas
  • Support the wider team to meet deadlines and KPIs during peak periods
  • Contribute to royalty system testing, enhancements and migration activities
  • Work with the Royalty New Deals Manager to deliver continuous process improvements
  • Stay up to date with new media formats and industry developments

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a media royalties, rights, talent payments or legal environment OR sufficient contract interpretation experience in a similar industry
  • Experience of reading and interpreting complex legal documents
  • Experienced user of rights or royalties management systems (desirable)
  • Must be confident using Excel and working with data
  • Strong commercial awareness with a clear understanding of business drivers
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring a high level of accuracy at all times
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with strong numerical and analytical ability
  • Clear, confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work effectively on an independent basis
  • Proven ability to collaborate with others to achieve shared objectives, particularly during periods of change
  • Confident engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Sound understanding of end-to-end financial processes
  • Driven by continuous improvement and a commitment to enhancing performance, services, and outcomes
