Route Patrolling Officer

• Routine Patrol: Conduct regular, often randomized, patrols of the assigned route (highways, municipal streets, or private property) to deter crime, observe activity, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Surveillance and Reporting: Monitor for suspicious activities, security breaches, hazards, and infrastructure damage (e.g., malfunctioning traffic lights, damaged roads)
• Visibility and Presence: Maintain a highly visible presence to promote a feeling of security and discourage violations
• Incident Response: Promptly respond to dispatched calls, emergencies, accidents, and alarms within the patrol area
• Accident Investigation: Investigate traffic accidents, determine the cause, collect evidence, interview witnesses, administer first aid if needed, and secure the scene
• Motorist/Citizen Aid: Assist stranded or distressed motorists (e.g., with flat tires, running out of fuel) and provide directions or assistance to citizens in need
• First Aid: Provide immediate medical assistance (First Aid/CPR) at accident or emergency scenes until professional medical services arrive
