Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, implement, and oversee rotor balancing operations within the DFIG production line
  • Develop and maintain balancing process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and control plans
  • Ensure all balancing activities comply with ISO 21940-11 and OEM quality standards
  • Work with design and manufacturing teams to define balancing tolerances, correction methods, and tooling requirements
  • Manage and calibrate balancing machines and related measurement instruments
  • Conduct static and dynamic balancing of rotors using appropriate balancing machines and correction techniques (e.g., drilling, adding weights)
  • Analyze vibration and imbalance data to identify root causes and corrective measures
  • Support rotor run-out, alignment, and assembly verification to ensure design conformity
  • Verify rotor performance through quality inspection, vibration analysis, and acceptance testing
  • Collaborate with quality engineers to ensure traceability and documentation of balancing results
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce balancing time, improve accuracy, and minimize rework
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for nonconformities
  • Work closely with design, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve rotor design or production challenges
  • Provide technical support and training to balancing technicians and operators
  • Coordinate with supply chain and production planning to ensure smooth workflow and equipment availability

Requirements:

  • Diploma /bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • 5 years of experience in rotating equipment production, preferably in generator or motor manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience with rotor dynamic balancing, vibration measurement, and balancing machines (e.g., Schenck, Hofmann)
  • Knowledge& hands on experience of rotor dynamics, vibration theory, and machine balancing principles
  • Familiarity with ISO balancing grades and rotor balancing standards
  • Experience with data acquisition systems, balancing software, and measurement analysis tools
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, and assembly operations
  • Proficiency with SAP and manufacturing documentation systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality
  • Ability to work under production deadlines and manage multiple tasks
