Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for overseeing complex rotating equipment installations? We are seeking a dynamic Rotating Supervisor to play a pivotal role in one of the world's largest LNG projects. This high-impact position offers an extraordinary opportunity to lead the installation, inspection, and pre-commissioning of essential rotating machinery—including pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, and generators—within a major industrial venture in remote northern Mozambique. Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the installation, inspection, and pre-commissioning of essential rotating machinery including pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, and generators
  • Ensure smooth, safe project execution within a major industrial venture in remote northern Mozambique

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in rotating machinery installation and supervision on large Oil & Gas or LNG projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of compressors, turbines, pumps, and mechanical packages
  • Expertise in field supervision, equipment alignment, installation, and pre-commissioning
  • Proven vendor management and coordination skills
  • Excellent HSE leadership and QA/QC awareness
  • Proficiency in English
  • Portuguese or French skills are a plus
  • Willingness to work in a remote, challenging environment with limited infrastructure
  • Ability to travel and work on-site at Afungi in Mozambique
  • Commitment to safety standards, environmental protocols, and project schedules

Nice to have:

  • Experience working on multi-EPC mega-projects
  • Knowledge of vibration analysis, balancing, and advanced rotating equipment diagnostics
  • Familiarity with remote site operations and logistical coordination
