Job Description:

HF Sinclair in Sinclair, WY is seeking a Rotating Equipment Maintenance Planner who conducts maintenance planning and scheduling assignments for rotating equipment under limited supervision. Improves the efficiency, reliability, and safety of maintenance processes through the development of accurate, safe, and cost‑effective job plans, schedules, and work scopes for rotating equipment assets.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plans and schedules maintenance work for rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, fans, blowers, and gearboxes
  • Develops detailed job plans including scope, procedures, labor, materials, tools, and safety requirements
  • Creates and maintains bills of material, drawings, and equipment documentation
  • Coordinates with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, Purchasing, and contractors
  • Estimates labor, materials, and costs for work orders
  • Maintain equipment bills of material, drawings, and technical documentation within the CMMS
  • Verifies vendor drawings, inspections, and specifications
  • Performs field walkdowns and job readiness reviews
  • Supports turnaround, outage, and major overhaul planning
  • Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and mechanical integrity requirements

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years of job-related experience is required
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Proficiency in SAP required
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate large meetings
  • Continuous improvement mindset

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency in the use of Prometheus or a similar maintenance scheduling tool
  • Knowledge of refinery operations and maintenance thereof
