Join our dynamic team as a Rotating Equipment Analyst in the thriving LNG sector! This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in rotating equipment and vibration analysis while working in Soyo, Angola. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations, contributing to the success of a leading player in the energy industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct day-to-day equipment condition monitoring and vibration data collection using advanced analytical tools
  • Analyze and predict pump performance, and perform used lube oil analysis to optimize reliability
  • Implement and operate plant reliability and integrity systems for long-term viability
  • Generate equipment condition monitoring reports to meet reliability targets
  • Develop new systems for monitoring plant performance and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis and provide recommendations to prevent future failures
  • Mentor junior staff and ensure nationalization and competency assurance targets are met
  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and technical teams to enhance equipment reliability
  • Champion equipment reliability reporting and establish company-level reliability metrics

Requirements:

  • Vibration Analysis: ISO level II certification required
  • Condition Monitoring: Strong competence in Bentley Nevada and trending analysis software
  • Mechanical Knowledge: Expertise in industrial gas turbines, gas compressors, and centrifugal pumps
  • SAP Proficiency: Familiarity with CMMS SAP PM modules
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Technical Support: Provide advisory support on equipment condition and repair strategies
  • Educational Qualifications: Grade 12 diploma required
  • preferred degree in Mechanical Engineering specializing in rotating equipment
  • Certifications: Vibration Analyst ISO level II, experience with used lube oil analysis
  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in rotating equipment within petrochemical or LNG plants

  • Assist the team with any shipboard related CBM queries and resolutions
  • Assist in the timely calibration and repairs of CBM systems and hardware
  • Project manage installation of CBM equipment and training on existing vessels or new installations – Remote and onboard with the crew
  • Conducts training and advances the importance of CBM to the onboard team members. Champions the upholding of company culture and core values to all technical teams they interact with
  • Provides continuous improvement to each asset maintenance strategy based on condition-based data reporting
  • Using data collected by ship teams or their own resources from maintenance systems or other performance-based systems like Neptune, this role creates spot check Vibration analysis reports or longer term reporting where the vessels’ teams are managing particular asset issues or warranty situations
  • Conducts remote analysis of vibration data (spot check or longer-term vessel support)
  • Analyses incoming reports from third party Condition Monitoring partners assessing quality and validity to ensure the ships’ crew receive realistic recommendations from accurate results
  • Conducts root cause analysis on equipment failures and determines potential failure solutions utilizing CBM technology. Collaborates with internal shore-based technical operations and asset management teams to improve current capabilities by providing ongoing fault condition support and monitoring
