The Inventory Pool manager is responsible for analyzing and optimizing the inventory of spare parts and components within the Aerospace Supply Chain Aftermarket division. This role involves forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective supply of components needed for aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of spare parts and components
Implement strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and minimize shortages
Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer requirements to predict demand for aftermarket parts
Develop accurate forecasts to support planning and procurement activities
Rapidly respond to AOG situations by facilitating the swift sourcing and delivery of critical components
Work closely with logistics and operations teams to minimize aircraft downtime and ensure timely resolution
Collaborate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of parts
Address any issues related to supply disruptions or delays
Analyze inventory and sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement
Prepare regular reports and presentations for management
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Assist in resolving customer inquiries and issues related to parts availability and delivery schedules
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all inventory and supply chain activities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field OR 5+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or logistics within the aerospace or related industry
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large data sets
Proficiency in supply chain management software and other relevant tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to set and achieve stretch goals quickly, while possessing strong people skills
Experience applying Lean and Continuous Improvement ideas
Experience in managing AOG situations
Understands and applies Quality and Safety standards consistently
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Office, SharePoint and SAP
