Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Rope / Mechanical Grab Operator to join our team operating specialized equipment for one of our major projects based in Melbourne, Victoria.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate rope and mechanical grab equipment safely and efficiently
  • Conduct pre-start checks and routine maintenance on plant and equipment
  • Execute excavation and foundation works in line with project specifications
  • Lifting and remove spoil from deep excavations
  • Work on piling, diaphragm walls and foundation systems
  • Coordinate closely with rig operators, dogmen, and site supervisors
  • Work closely with site supervisors and crews to meet project timelines
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance
  • Identify and report any equipment or site issues promptly

Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating rope or mechanical grab equipment on Bauer MC96 and or Liebherr 885 HD cycle cranes
  • Relevant tickets, VOC’s and open crane license
  • Pilesafe accreditation
  • Strong understanding of site safety and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work in a team and follow direction on site
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality workmanship
  • Willingness to work long hours and or shift work
