As Room Manager, you will be the driving force behind the success of your room or unit – overseeing the 'everyday' and taking the lead. You will not only operate an efficient and 'to standard' room/unit but you will inspire, role model, coach and develop your Apprentice and Qualified Early Years Educators to deliver our ambitious and robust approach and curriculum to give all children the skills and experiences they need to take on the world without limitations. Every day you will balance the needs of the children, parents, your team and the business – ensuring you go above and beyond and excel in early years excellence. As part of your Room Manager role, you will also take on a Designated Role within the nursery.

Oversee bi-weekly planning cycle
Complete Nursery App
Promote child presentation and hygiene
Maintain room presentation
Oversee snack and mealtimes
Maintain Key Person System
Allocate jobs to team
Lead daily handovers
Meet with Head of Nursery
Undertake Designated Role
Support nursery events
Complete room checks and forms
Know policies and procedures
Deal with parent feedback
Administer First Aid
Support children with additional needs
Manage new child settling
Onboard new Educators
Advocate for team
Prepare team for audits and inspections
Requirements:
Oversee bi-weekly planning cycle to Cherubs Nurseries standards
Complete Nursery App including child profiles, parent communication, record keeping
Promote high standards of child presentation and personal hygiene
Be responsible for room/unit presentation and maintenance
Oversee snack and mealtimes following Food Policy and Allergy Policy
Maintain a robust Key Person System
Effectively allocate daily and weekly jobs and roles to team
Take lead in daily handovers
Meet monthly with Head of Nursery
Undertake a Designated Role within the nursery
Support planning of nursery events
Take responsibility for all room checks, forms and assessments
Have grasp of all Cherubs Nurseries policies and procedures
Effectively deal with parent feedback
Ensure First Aid is administered properly
Identify and support children with additional needs (SEND or EAL)
Be responsible for All About Me and Settling In of new children
Take active role in onboarding new Educators
Develop and prepare team for internal audits and Ofsted inspections
