Job Description:

As Room Manager, you will be the driving force behind the success of your room or unit – overseeing the 'everyday' and taking the lead. You will operate an efficient room/unit and inspire, role model, coach and develop your Apprentice and Qualified Early Years Educators to deliver our ambitious approach and curriculum. Every day you will balance the needs of children, parents, your team and the business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Complete Nursery App tasks
  • Maintain child hygiene and room presentation
  • Oversee meals
  • Maintain Key Person System
  • Allocate team jobs
  • Lead parent handovers
  • Monthly meetings with Head of Nursery
  • Keep team updated
  • Fulfill Designated Role
  • Support event planning
  • Complete room checks
  • Know policies
  • Handle parent feedback
  • Administer First Aid
  • Support children with additional needs
  • Manage new child settling
  • Onboard new Educators
  • Advocate for team
  • Prepare team for inspections

Requirements:

  • Oversee bi-weekly planning cycle to Cherubs Nurseries standards
  • Be responsible for completion of Nursery App including child profiles, parent communication, record keeping
  • Promote high standards of child presentation and personal hygiene
  • Be responsible for presentation and maintenance of room/unit
  • Oversee snack and mealtimes following Food Policy and Allergy Policy
  • Maintain a robust Key Person System
  • Effectively allocate daily and weekly jobs and roles to team
  • Take lead in daily handovers
  • Meet with Head of Nursery every month
  • Ensure Educators are kept updated
  • Undertake a Designated Role within the nursery
  • Support planning of nursery events
  • Take responsibility for all room checks, forms and assessments
  • Have grasp of all Cherubs Nurseries policies and procedures
  • Effectively deal with parent feedback
  • Ensure First Aid is administered properly
  • Identify and support children with additional needs
  • Be responsible for All About Me and Settling In of new children
  • Take active role in onboarding new Educators
  • Be advocate for team
  • Develop and prepare team for audits and inspections
