Job Description

Soon to Open Reset Hotel in Joshua Tree is in search for Room Attendants with prior cleaning/janitorial experience to join our team. At RESET, the desert takes center stage. Nestled just outside Joshua Tree National Park, in the city of Twentynine Palms, RESET provides unique access to some of the most iconic views in the United States.

Job Responsibility

  • Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces
  • Transport cart with supplies to assigned room
  • Clean guest rooms thoroughly including emptying trash, replacing linens, cleaning bathroom, dusting furniture, vacuuming
  • Update status of rooms cleaned
  • Return and restock cart
  • Ensure security of guest room keys
  • Handle guest complaints
  • Report damages or maintenance problems
  • Communicate with other departments
  • Adhere to Lost and Found and Key Control policies
  • Clean common areas and public restrooms
  • Report suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas
  • Attend mandatory meetings
  • Operate laundry including washer and dryer
  • Separate, sort, wash, dry, and fold linens
  • Maintain cleanliness of laundry room and equipment

Requirements

  • Prior cleaning/janitorial experience
  • Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Ability to exert physical effort consistent with cleaning approximately 16-18 standard rooms per shift
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment
  • Ability to endure working area of high temperatures with accumulations of lint
  • Ability to exert physical effort in the movement of bundles of soiled/cleaned bed linens
  • Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance
  • Must be courteous and friendly with guests and co-workers
