Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Roofing Labourer to join Empire Envelope in Edmonton, AB. You are responsible to safely and efficiently collect and transport material pickups/returns to/from job sites/suppliers. You support operational effectiveness, cleanliness, compliance, and sustainability initiatives while ensuring timely pickups and maintaining a professional presence on-site.

Job Responsibility:

  • Picking up and delivering materials to job site safely and efficiently
  • Returning material overages from job sites to suppliers ensuring paperwork accuracy
  • Operating company vehicles safely, courteously, and in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Coordinating with Site Supervisors and Estimators to schedule material pickups and deliveries
  • Communicating delays, issues, or additional material needs promptly
  • Following all site-specific safety protocols, maintaining hazard awareness, completing hazard assessments, ensuring proper PPE is worn at all times and reporting all safety concerns to direct Manager and/or Safety Department
  • Reporting vehicle maintenance needs and ensure timely service
  • Representing Empire Envelope when dealing with builders, homeowners, and trades, and upholding and protecting our high-quality standards and ensuring that all work performed meets or exceeds these standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Valid driver’s licence, satisfactory driver’s abstract and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check
  • Experience operating dump box trucks or similar vehicles
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials as required
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically able to kneel and crouch as well as lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
