Coley’s Contracting is looking to expand their team by adding 2 Roofer Labourer’s/Apprentices. The company goal is to find 2 team members that are interested in working this season and attending school over the fall and winter. You would have the opportunity to attend Roofing school at the RCABC training centre in Langley for 5 weeks at a time. It only takes 15 weeks in total to achieve journeyman designation. Roofers work with their hands in a unique environment. Not being scared of heights or hard work, and taking great satisfaction in doing precise and important work are the key things to be successful in this trade. General skills required include dexterity, determination and athletic build. The starting wage for an apprentice with Coley’s Contracting is $24.00/hour. Wage increases are in conjunction with hours worked, and training levels completed. April to October will be the busy months, with opportunities for overtime. November to March will still provide full time work doing siding and other renovation work when not away in Langley for training. Coley’s Contracting only serves the communities of Prince Rupert and Port Edward, so besides the training sessions (5 weeks at a time, three times in total) in Langley, the rest of your work will be here at home.
