A well-established manufacturer in the North York area is seeking an experienced Roll Forming Setup Operator to join their production team. This role is ideal for a skilled operator with strong experience setting up and troubleshooting roll forming equipment within a high-volume manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring roll forming lines operate efficiently, producing high-quality metal components that meet strict specifications and production targets. This position requires a hands-on professional who can independently perform machine setups, troubleshoot issues, and support overall production performance.
Job Responsibility:
Perform complete setups and changeovers on roll forming mills to run various product profiles
Operate roll forming equipment to produce parts that meet quality standards and production targets
Troubleshoot mechanical or process issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate product dimensions
Use precision measuring tools including vernier calipers and tape measures to verify product quality
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain consistent output
Support other operators on the production floor by providing guidance and technical assistance when needed
Follow all health and safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, machine guarding, and equipment safety standards
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the plant
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience setting up and operating roll forming machines in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of metal forming processes and fabrication operations
Ability to perform full machine setups independently, including tooling adjustments and profile changes
Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
Comfortable using precision measurement tools to ensure product accuracy
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-based production environment
Physically capable of standing for extended periods and working in a manufacturing setting
Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive work ethic
