Amentum is seeking an advanced level industrial BMS (Building Management System) Technician or Engineer to join our Team. This BMS Engineer will work at our Remote Operations Center (ROC) and will monitor and maintain systems to ensure zero failures by providing an advanced level of expertise in maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing all aspects of the building automation systems in a large-scale multi-purpose complex. The BMS Engineer must have the ability to maintain, improve, and participate in troubleshooting the associated equipment serving the spaces monitored. The BMS Engineer must have a unique skill that combines computer-based programming, electrical controls, and steam/condensate knowledge to understand a building’s sequence of operations. This knowledge enables visibility and control to a pre-determined computerized program that balances air handlers, exhaust fans, and chilled water systems for personal comfort in office space or in a variable temperature and humidity conditional space. The BMS Engineer will be part of a 24/7 team that monitors all aspects of a building’s temperature and humidity and is capable to calibrate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of electronic/pneumatic control devices throughout the sites HVAC system using different software/programs. This position will collaborate with more advanced specialized technicians or subcontractors to perform facility related repairs. Effectively communicates with the site management, control room operators, Amentum technicians/mechanics, team, and the customer to understand requirements and solve complex monitoring and control problems. The BMS Technician or Engineer must have the ability to identify and correct any safety related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. The technician will help ensure the operational success of the sites by preparing and making the environment and making informed decisions.
Job Responsibility:
Check and ensure the operation of BMS, PME (Power Monitoring Eng), LSS Systems (Life Safety Systems)
Takes the appropriate actions in Case of Any Abnormalities/Critical active alarms
Takes notice of all alarms and informs statuses to Respective Shift in charge
In case of any issues under vendor scope, coordinates & get the issues resolved and stabilized
Check and ensure key assets and systems are operating within in safe Range on routine basis
Responsible for Scheduling Low Side Equipment’s as per office hours and ensure its function appropriately on daily basis
Check the Operational Availability of all the equipment through BMS System and escalate to Shift engineer and Respective vendors if any equipment’s are unable to control and operate through BMS
Check and ensure all the essential parameters are Displayed appropriately in BMS/PME systems
Check and ensure the necessary BMS operational are captured, analyze, and downloaded through respective systems
Closely monitoring the Cooling temp and electrical loads of CEM Areas (Data Centers, Lab, UPS etc.)
Critical Alarm Verification on BMS System Bi-Monthly of CEM Area’s and the report need to get shared with CS
Maintaining Abnormality tracker of BMS, PME and need to share on Monthly basis to CS
Generate BMS, PME and other related reports on Daily & Monthly Basis
Energy Meters & Flow Meters verification on an agreed basis
Weekly Life Safety Systems (LSS) monitor and track testing and ensure close out of any defects and issues
Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards
Under general supervision, perform tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations
Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and wearing PPE as required
Operates various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions
Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers, and diagnostic hardware to perform work
Maintains a strict schedule to be successful in the assignment
Flexible in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer

Requirements:
Electromechanical, Mechanical or Electrical Technician or Engineer degree (is a plus, can be waive per Hiring Manager)
1 years of experience as a BMS technician or 2 years as an Engineer, a controls environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience (is a plus, can be waive per Hiring Manager)
Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of technical engineering systems
Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules
Nice to have:
The ability to understand, speak and write English at a high level (B2, B2+, or C1 in accordance with the European Standard Evaluation)
Knowledge in Windows environment (Excel, Word, Power Point)
Degree in Electronics or Instrument Controls Technology or work experience
Experience troubleshooting BAS systems and controls
Pneumatic valves, actuators, thermostats, and pneumatic controls experience
Experience in the use of meggers, voltmeters, and multi-meters used in troubleshooting activities
