Job Description:

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is looking for a Robotics - Smart Factory Intern to work on digital transformation architecture strategies and manufacturing robotic automation projects. The role involves collaborating with business functions to identify challenges, designing and implementing programs to improve manufacturing effectiveness, and supporting end-to-end project management activities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Independently identifies and resolves both common and complex challenges, leading sophisticated Manufacturing Robotic Automation projects or key modules of large-scale programs within operations, supply chain management, and logistics domains
  • Collaborate with business functions to identify pain points and recommend effective solutions that address the organisation's specific challenges
  • Designs, drives, and implements programs to elevate the overall maturity and effectiveness of manufacturing landscapes, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and future-readiness
  • Drive or Support end-to-end project management activities — from ideation, planning, and stakeholder alignment to execution, monitoring, and implementation
  • Gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle including initiation, scheduling, risk management, and post-implementation review
  • Assist in developing detailed project charters, ROI analysis, and presentation materials necessary to transition a PoC into a fully funded project
  • Takes ownership of decision-making processes within projects, contributing innovative digital solutions and strategic insights to management teams
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to manufacturing (beyond just robotics) to inform the digital roadmap

Requirements:

  • Final year students pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Digital Transformation, Engineering, Business, Mathematics/Statistics, or a related field
  • Understanding of supply chain ERP/MES/planning systems
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory concepts, including the application of IoT and Robotics for manufacturing automation
  • Expectation of basic proficiency in analyzing operational data (e.g., using SQL, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools) to measure the effectiveness of PoCs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry-standard integration technologies and protocols, such as EDIs and APIs
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Expertise in requirement analysis, product and platform prototyping, and a strong understanding of Agile product development methodologies and tools
  • Proficiency in managing dynamic, evolving project requirements with a strong focus on task prioritization and management
  • Experience in challenging existing processes constructively and driving continuous improvement for enhanced outcomes
