Job Description:

As an Individual Contributor at 1X Technologies, you will ensure flawless execution of humanoid robot demos while performing software QA for robot OS releases and AI models. This hands-on role focuses on real-time operations, testing, and feedback loops to drive product improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and execute robot demos, including scheduling, setup, rehearsal, on-site monitoring, teardown, and risk mitigation for zero-defect outcomes
  • Monitor robot performance during demos, debug hardware/software issues using logs and tools, and perform repairs or preventive maintenance
  • Test and validate robot OS releases, firmware updates, and new AI models from the team before deployment to the fleet
  • Develop test plans, strategies, cases, and baselines for autonomy, navigation, sensors, and connected features (e.g., apps, cloud interfaces)
  • Collect and analyze demo data across product dimensions (hardware, mechanics, software) to identify issues, compile summaries, and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with R&D, AI, and ops teams on release criteria, issue tracking, and KPI dashboards
  • Create documentation, guides, and checklists for demo readiness, quality resolutions, and process enhancements

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in robotics operations, field engineering, or software QA, with experience in high-stakes demos or product launches
  • Proficiency in real-time debugging, performance analysis, and testing connected systems
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to thrive under pressure
