Job Description

We have an exciting career opportunity for a Project Engineer within our Roadway design group in Raleigh! The ideal candidate has experience with civil transportation design and comprehensive knowledge of roadway projects and developing plans in accordance with NCDOT standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Create and execute project work plans
  • Mentor junior staff
  • Contribute to Division strategic growth initiatives and collaborate on regional growth strategy
  • Interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders, including the DOT
  • Represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience
  • Licensed PE in the state of NC or planning to obtain licensure within one year
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience working with public agencies, private entities and/or municipalities
  • Progressive experience with developing plans specifications, and submissions per DOT standards and requirements
  • Excellent communication and client relation skills
  • Strong organization skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
  • Advanced use of ORD/Open X platform and assure compliance with project CADD standards
  • Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
