Job Responsibility:
Design roadway system improvements and related transportation structures under the guidance of a Senior Engineer
Prepare plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates
Perform technical studies and prepare technical documents such as Project Reports
Develop appropriate preliminary concepts and layouts
Oversee and mentor entry level staff
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
California Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Minimum of 5 years' experience on roadway design projects
Expert in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design related software
Experience using roadway design standards such as Caltrans Highway Design Manual and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices
