Cortlandt is seeking for an RN Unit Manager to join their growning team.
Job Responsibility:
Day to Day Supervision of Licensed and Non-Licensed staff, including counseling/disciplinary action, evaluations, one-to-one in-service, suspension/terminations
Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing unit
including paper compliance, reports, and EMR monitoring
Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of care
Must make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Must be able to appropriately communicate with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and governmental agencies/personnel
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to Post-Acute & long-term care
Leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
Requirements:
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school
Must have a current RN and unencumbered license for the state of practice
1 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related healthcare facility preferred
Must be reliable and able to accommodate a flexible schedule to include evenings, nights, and weekend work hours when necessary
