Job Description

Step into a telemetry unit that keeps the pulse of some of the most critical patients in the hospital. This 13-week contract places you on the 4th Floor Surgical/Neuro ward, where you'll manage a diverse caseload—including COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetic, cerebrovascular, orthopedic, and spinal surgical patients. The 12-hour night shifts provide a quieter, focused environment for reading ECG strips and interpreting telemetry data, with opportunities to sharpen your skills in a real-world setting. RN's will interpret ECG strips, adjust monitors, and assist with breathing treatments—including Bipap and Cpap—while working alongside charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse aides. The unit’s atmosphere is collaborative, with a one-shift orientation to get you familiar with protocols and equipment, all while working within a 1:5 patient ratio on the neuro side and 1:10-15 for nurse aides.
