Job Description

Meduflex is MUSC Charleston’s inpatient Float Pool, supporting a wide range of patient care units across the downtown campus. Spanning 10 specialized zones and serving both Adult and Pediatric populations, the team offers flexible scheduling and shift differential pay.

Job Responsibility

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Student Tech I performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has successfully completed a Nursing Fundamentals Course
  • Enrollment in nursing school is verified as part of background process
  • Transcript or letter from college may be requested prior to employment
  • Possess ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of therapeutic procedures and ability to make accurate physical observation of patients
  • Applicant must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire
  • Thereafter, must maintain Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
