RN Student Tech - Float Team

Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes

• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program
• Successfully completed a Nursing Fundamentals Course
• Possess ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of therapeutic procedures
• Ability to make accurate physical observation of patients
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Basic computer skills
• Within two months of date of hire, successfully pass the on-line course modules and skills validation for basic skills
• Passing requires achieving an 80% passing rate in two attempts
• Reliable attendance
• Responsible for maintaining BLS and any other annual competencies
• Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire
• Thereafter, must maintain Current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
