Job Responsibility:
Administer, oversee and document the administration of medications as ordered by the healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy
Assess patient to include physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental and spiritual needs
Gather data relevant for patient care
Implement appropriate patient interventions and evaluate outcomes
Plan care appropriately based on needs identified during initial and on-going assessments
Provide holistic, comprehensive, and professional nursing care to patient within the scope of practice
Prepare patient for discharge and assist with coordinating post discharge needs
Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence
Demonstrate competent professional practice and engage in opportunities for professional growth
Document care delivered and patient status utilizing the nursing process in accordance with FHS standards of care
Receive and assure appropriateness, accuracy, timeliness and execution of physician orders
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, upon hire
One to two years Med/Surg experience with completion of Mother/Baby Education program or New graduate with completion of senior practicum in L&D, Mother/Baby unit or nursery
Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 months
Nice to have:
Bachelors Of Science Nursing and one year of related work experience in an acute care setting, upon hire
