Job Description

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, is seeking a full time Registered Nurse to join our amazing Progressive Care Unit that focuses on Renal Transplant, Urology, Peritoneal Dialysis, Pulmonary HTN, and more. STC 3 is a 35-bed monitored hospital unit that cares for a unique population of patients ranging from young adults to geriatrics. Our diverse patient population includes complex urology patients, pulmonary hypertension patients, kidney and pancreas transplant patients, peritoneal dialysis patients, and radioactive implant cases.

  • Nephrostomy and Urostomy care
  • Complex urinary catheter insertions and care
  • Suprapubic catheter insertion and care
  • Fistula access
  • Train in ultrasound guided IV insertion

Requirements

  • Graduate of RN School of Nursing
  • ADN required
  • BSN preferred
  • Active RN License
  • Minimum of 6 Months of RN experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire or transfer
  • Grad of an Accredited Program
  • Specialized field of study should be nursing
  • Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role
