RN Psychiatric Acute Adult

• Conduct rounds, physical assessments of patients, and med pass during shift to diagnose the medical and emotional status of patients
• Interact with patients throughout shift and be the eyes and ears to notice any difference in patient health and behavior
• Alert the physician of any changes noticed
• Interact with patients in a group setting and lead therapeutic group meetings as scheduled
• Coordinate and work with the activities director for the unit
• Thoroughly explain diagnosis and plans for ongoing treatment to patients and their caregivers.

• Minimum requirement of 6 months of prior acute care experience in same unit
• Current California license as a Registered Nurse
• AHA BLS
• Excellent communication and patient skills required.
