The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care through skillful assessment, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or protocols in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and the State of Delaware Board of Nursing Rules and Regulations. The RN will function at the top of their license in areas of leadership, delegation, initial patient education, triage of patients, precepting new staff, mentorship, and behaving as a role model for other clinical team members. The RN functions as a liaison between clinical team members and leadership to develop office specific policies, procedures, and/or protocols to promote a safe working environment and efficient workflows.
Job Responsibility:
Triages patients and uses clinical judgement to implement nursing interventions in a timely manner
Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and the State of Delaware Board of Nursing Rules and Regulations
Acts as a preceptor and mentor for other licensed and unlicensed clinical team members. Timely completion of assigned education and annual competencies
Develops, implements, and evaluates an identified plan of care. Prioritizes and coordinates care delivery and provides initial education to patients, families, and/or caregivers
Administers medications according to policy. (IV push medications may only be administered by RNs per the Nurse Practice Act and the State of Delaware Board of Nursing Rules and Regulations)
Collects, analyzes, and documents the assessment data to determine the actual or potential nursing diagnoses, problems, and identifies expected outcomes
Recognizes unit needs and is a liaison between the clinical staff and leadership to assist in development and maintenance of office specific policies, procedures, and/or protocols that will promote safety and encourage efficient workflows
Communicates and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice
Utilizes appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible
Advocates for clients
Actively assists others and accepts additional duties or assignments. Works in other BMG office locations and/or other shift times when needed

Requirements:
RN Diploma
RN Degree Program
RN - Registered Nurse license from the state of Delaware or Compact State
BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
