Job Responsibility:
Ensures that the patient is properly introduced to the unit & his/her surroundings within one hour after arrival in unit
Completes assessment as reflected in nursing notes & admission history within 8 hours
Provides baseline data pertaining to activities of daily living
Reflects physiological condition & psychosocial needs of the patient
Reflects perceptions of patient and/or significant others of his/her health problem(s) & his/her expectations of the present hospitalization
Provides information needed to begin discharge planning
Utilizes standards of care to anticipate potential patient care problems.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited RN program
Registered Nurse: CA
Basic Life Support - CPR BLS
Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS, within 90 Days of employment
