As an OR RN, your expertise will be crucial in supporting a variety of interventional pain procedures performed within the OR setting. This includes assisting with procedures such as: Epidural Steroid Injections: Providing relief for spinal pain. Nerve Blocks: Targeting specific nerves to alleviate localized pain. Job Responsibility
Provide expert, patient-centered nursing care throughout the perioperative experience, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care of surgical patients of all ages, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards of care
Act as a patient advocate, communicating effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are readily available and sterile
Assist the surgical team during procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring the patient's physiological responses
Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record
Educate patients and families about surgical procedures, recovery, and post-operative care instructions
Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all infection control protocols
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Dakota, or ability to obtain prior to start date
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Nice to have
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Operating Room setting
