Job Description

Join Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Centennial as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. Our ICU is a fast-paced environment with high acuity patients, featuring 12 beds and a 1:2 patient ratio. The hospital is a Level III trauma, primary stroke center, and primary heart attack center. The role offers opportunities for learning, mentoring, and professional growth within a supportive team focused on quality care and process improvement.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide care in a fast-paced ICU environment with high acuity patients
  • Focus on high quality patient care and process improvement
  • Participate in shared governance and multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Care for patient population including Nephrology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Geriatrics, Surgical, Medical, Cardiology, pulmonology, Trauma and Gastrointestinal
  • Training in specialty devices such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella and CRRT

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
  • RN – Registered Nurse
  • BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
  • 1 Year of Experience
  • PRN - 4 shifts every 6 weeks plus one minor and one major holiday per year

Nice to have

RN candidates with Med Surg ICU experience preferred
