Job Description:

Provide nursing care to a defined group of patients, adhering to Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington ambulatory Nursing Care Standards, the Nursing Code of Ethics and Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington policies. Coordinate and facilitate Health Care services for the patient in other segments of the Health Care delivery system. Provide and coordinate nursing care for the patient in collaboration with the Health Care team. The Registered Nurse is an integral member of the Health Care team, overseeing and participating in patient assessment and the formulation and implementation of the care plan.

  • Assess, monitor, and record critical patient conditions
  • Perform therapeutic nursing interventions
  • Develop, implement, and continuously update individualized care plans
  • Ensure multidisciplinary collaboration, patient education, and compliance with healthcare standards
  • Prioritize patient safety, pain management, and discharge planning
  • Lead healthcare teams, delegate tasks appropriately, mentor, and support professional development
  • Provide compassionate, respectful, and culturally competent patient care
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and legible charting
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent (within past 3 years) RN experience working in Adult ICU or CCU
  • Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Registered Nurse License (Washington) required at hire OR Compact License: Registered Nurse required at hire
  • Basic Life Support required at hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire
  • Communication, problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills
  • Strong Clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Nice to have:

  • Ambulatory care nursing experience
  • Primary nursing or case-management experience
  • Bachelor of science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or relevant specialty
