Join Carlsbad Medical Center as a Travel ICU RN for a 13-week assignment, working night shifts from 6:30 pm to 6:30 am. This role offers the opportunity to focus solely on ICU patient care, managing ventilators, titratable drips, and hygiene in a tight-knit unit of 12 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2-3. As a float RN, you'll be aiding in ER and Med Surge departments, assisting with tasks like answering call lights, passing medications, starting IVs, and patient transports. The assignment is perfect for experienced nurses with at least 2 years in ICU, who are comfortable with complex equipment and procedures. No call is required, but holidays are mandated. Be prepared to arrive with BLS, ACLS, and possibly TNCC certifications, and experience with vents, medication mixing, and patient hygiene is preferred. This role involves working with the MedHost EMR system and requires all travelers to be fingerprinted due to state requirements. The unique floating protocol involves documentation in a float log, with some flexibility depending on staffing needs, especially when ER experience is possessed.

Requirements
