2 years of consecutive recent (within the last 5 years) ED and/or ICU experience
Associates Degree in Nursing
Ability to work in diverse areas
Current California RN license
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and TNCC. NRP and TNCC due within 6 months of hire/transfer
Verbal and written communication and computer skills
BLS, ACLS and basic dysrhythmia required

Job Responsibility

Assumes responsibility and accountability for a patient assignment through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and other health care team members
Appropriately assists team members in providing holistic care to patients and their support systems with an awareness of cost containment and time management
Float to multiple units within the hospital, possibly multiple times per shift based upon skills and competencies as determined by the Nursing Supervisor or the Staffing Office
