RN Float Pool Critical Care

• Float to multiple units within the hospital, possibly multiple times per shift
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for a patient assignment
• Appropriately assists team members in providing holistic care to patients and their support systems
• Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data
• Formulates a plan of care for individual needs, including patient population needs
• Participates in the planning of routine transitional health care needs
• Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and family
• Integrates education during the delivery of patient care
• Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care to determine immediate priorities and to offer solutions for problems
• Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience

• 2 years of consecutive recent (within the last 5 years) ED and/or ICU experience
• Associates Degree in Nursing
• Ability to work in diverse areas
• Current California RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and TNCC. NRP and TNCC due within 6 months of hire/transfer
• Verbal and written communication and computer skills
• BLS, ACLS and basic dysrhythmia required
