Job Responsibility

  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality care that supports patients' well-being and recovery
  • Leverage expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans
  • Collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team
  • Perform assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive status
  • Formulate a goal-directed plan of care that is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes
  • Implement care in a thorough, skillful, and consistent manner
  • Establish priorities for patient care based on essential patient needs and available unit resources of time, personnel, equipment, and supplies
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care given by health care team members
  • Effectively communicate with patients, staff, and providers

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of general RN care experience
  • Associate degree of Nursing
  • Valid compact state or Arizona RN license
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider
  • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support if floating to the Emergency Department or taking care of patients less than 8 years of age
  • Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing the EKG test or completing basic EKG class/modules within six (6) months of position
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months, or
  • Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) within 12 months, or
  • Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) within 12 months, or
  • Transport Nurse Advanced Trauma Course (TNATC) within 12 months

Nice to have

  • Two (2) years of medical/surgical, progressive care, critical care experience or emergency department care experience
  • Bachelor's degree of Nursing
