Step into a fast-paced Emergency Room setting as an ER Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel assignment in St. Louis, Missouri. You’ll work 12-hour nights from 18:45–07:15 (with occasional coverage that may run 14:45–03:15 as needed). Expect an adult and geriatric mix, with a high percentage of patients over 60 and a strong admission flow. This role includes exposure to primary stroke center workflows for TPA, STEMI support as a Level 1 for cardiac events, and care that spans medium acuity with frequent ESI 1–4 presentation. You’ll also handle special procedures and ICU-level skills in the ER, including moderate sedation, chest tubes, intubations, central lines, defibrillation/pacing, ACLS/BLS/PALS support, and NIH-related stroke activities. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, with typical shift staffing centered around 1:4 patient ratio per shift.
